more pic (2) also look at last 3 new post!!

the promised returnee Kiskassa goatcheese and wintery yard

more pic (1)

the english breakfast, Manchestre's John Ryland library building,
my mum in Budapest and her flowers with my favourit mulberry tree - before we
left for London - it was wintery there, too on returning. wow, 4 pics!!

back from Far Away Places (from Kiskassa)

So we are back from cold Manchester, gloomy London and
balmy Tenerife, to – wintery Kiskassa… we had a lovely time,
the train journey from Budapest to Pecs was a pain, as there was work done on the line, but I don’t go into the tedious details of it – my own bloody fault not looking up the train schedules on the internet… anyway, we arrived eventually, the house was lovely warm, and Jozsi and Margit gave us lovely tea (that means hot food). Animals are all well – very well indeed, as Jozsi gave them multiples of the food that was necessary, so we will need extra hay as half of the winter store gone in these 3 weeks – but still, everything was looked after well. And Jozsi made some fabulous goat cheese! The picture doesn’t do it justice, it’s wonderful, made with white pepper and tarragon, quite spicy and salty, but lovely on toast… I have to learn this stuff.
I couldn’t make pictures of the most dramatically beautiful bits of Tenerife such as the Telescopes as the camera memory card seized to cooperate just then, must have had altitude sickness… but I pick a few pictures anyway, plus a wintery front yard
and the goat cheese for balance… maybe London V&A or Manchester John Ryland library building… Alan’s new hat picked up in Santa Cruz wonderful market should also surface… in more bits, as blogger doesn't like more than 3 pics at a time.

back in the old blighty

had two curries, two fish-n-chips and we are only worried
occasionally about goats/pigs/hens/dogs/cats/house...
we lost the phone number to ring and meet with Evelyn.
We are a bit knackered, getting too old for this
jet-set stuff... I'll show the pictures when we get back home.

mini Bonfire Night

and cold enough, though not wet enough to feel like England...
we had no parkin or roast anything or treacle, but we have rhubarb crumble!
Harvested our first rhubarb today - about 200g...
pictures also show the night sight of the workshop and the smoking room
front. Bonzo broke free again behind our backs while we were staring at the fire.
Both dogs could get jobs in the circus, one as an escapologist, one as the retriever of
sticks in the dark - he can probably do it blindfolded...

should have...

...made some beautiful autumn pictures yesterday, at some point walking back from Ujpetre, there was a really impressive variety of colour... but by the time
I'd see that again, all leaves will be gone. I forgot to pocket the camera, such a pity. Getting ready for the big trip...
Another load of hay got stacked from the goodness of now-gone Magdi+ Feri.
Due to this hay-collection, we met the new village dwellers Edit and husband, who's name we cannot recall yet, but they are a nice young couple with 4 years old twins,
I hope we make friends. Nothing much to report, Alan watched Kill Bill I declined
not fancying being entertained, even if not real, decapitations etc.
Run out for now of French history volumes, two more to look forward to on return,
it is quite addictive, how will be life without them??
I don't know if I'll blog while traveling, if not - see you in, hm,
probably, december.
