re-settled in Hungary from Rochdale, Lancs, England, and into a little village, doing a bit of greenish farming hoping for a quiet life... but stuff just happens...

post-birthday

The meal did happen in the Aranykacsa a few days later, and it was up to expectation, see picture(s). Meanwhile I've been to Budapest, got back home with Martin, who's bee doing wwoofing stuff (hay cutting, cutting weeds under electric fence, hunting for cucumbers and tomatoes in poly-tunnel jungle, digging up onions, etc) as well as doing astro work quite a few hours a day. We were yesterday at the Magyarboly "village-day" curtesy of liftd from Mustafa. It was the usual "culture program" as well as a concert of "Surfing Parrots" the Dodi's current band. It was a long afternoon, the weather was lovely, maybe we haven't realised the strength of the sunshine... As for the surf-rock - it is very good and professional, but, well, not our favourite kind of stuff... Oh, forgot, there was also a horse-cart competiton, too, which was quite surprisingly entertaining; I forgot what it's called in English, what the Duke of Edinburgh used to do, complete with the hats and suits and being very proper, even in Magyarboly. Took with us our nice Scottish hostelguest, he enjoyed it, too, all seemed to have a copious amount of beer, though...
Meanwhile more hay was "made", and carrots, onions, parsley and a few other things (it's all a blur this afternoon) processed.
Martin brought tons of reading matter, as he is starting to shift his things from the Tenerife flat in anticipation of the moving out in September. So I opted for not going to Ujpetre this Sunday afternoon, I didn't feel up to the table tennis somehow, it was optimal blogging and reading-on-the-verandah-while-eating-biscuits time... sorry about the sunflower picture being sideways, I don't know how to correct it at this point, and I am ready for the relaxing bit now... maybe next time I'll straighten them up, they like being horizontal, anyways...
