shit happens

... even if it wasn't a mad sad bad world (Zoltán: look out for Conditionals!)
I don't like giving you bad news, this corner should stand for a cheerful and positive world, a la Melody, however, one of our sheep dropped dead, just like that. Alan noticed it hyperventilating on about the 3rd day of us acquiring it. The chap we bought it from suggested giving it Rennee tablets, but it didn't work. Next morning it was gone to sheep-heaven, making the other sheep rather upset and depressed ever since, putting it with the goats didn't help, even after the goats realised that it is too big to be bullied. The seller person from Borjád promised us a replacement company, but should we trust him? We cannot help feeling, that he knew there was something wrong...

Anyway, if I wasn't a born skeptic, I would think it all happened because I failed to put the sheep picture on the blog last time. So I put it on for good luck anyways, even though Lois warned me not to put on deceased lifestock, in case I upset some faint-heart readers.

So besides this trauma, what else can I interest you with? We went to see "The Eights" exhibition in Pécs. This was a group of Hungarian painters exhibiting together for-awhile from cca 1910, influenced greatly by Cézanne and Matisse. It was a nicely done show up in one of the re-done exhibition centres in a beautiful old building. Very good paintings.
It was a lovely afternoon out as per usual, with cake (Mecsek krémes) consumed sitting
outside of the Mecsek cukrászda, on comfy chairs, soaking in the sunshine.

Spring is definitely here though the blossoms are very slow this year, the first one we have is on the Siberian Berry - see photo. Also there is one about Bonzo having a hangover in the walnut-basket after an other night of debauchery - we just can't keep in the little - well, we had some unseemly words we called him - he actually chew a hole in the wire fencing, would you believe.

Also pictured some violets growing amongst the strawberry plants, the new (hopefully) cherry tree Alan planted near the gate. oops, forgot to rotate it, sorry if I gave you a sore neck.
of the sheep the white faced one is the ex, might as well, we were always partial for black sheep for some reason...
