re-settled in Hungary from Rochdale, Lancs, England, and into a little village, doing a bit of greenish farming hoping for a quiet life... but stuff just happens...

mad as March

yes, we had summer and winter all rolled in one day, but still,
sorrel and tulips are showing, all the "new" trees have good buds.

We were too busy with stuff - mostly Alan doing the usual
growing, ploughing planting fence-making, preparing the accommodation for the now installed two young nannies and two young - SHEEP!!
They are all beautiful, and allegedly pregnant, but we have our doubts about that, but won't be particularly upset if they weren't.

I made pictures - but there is some problem connecting the camera to
the pc, so that has to wait.

Also, of course one just had to follow what was going on in the Arab world - have to read up on Socialist Appeal - I am getting a bit confused - if everyone is suddenly all for the rebels - including the US - then must be something wrong... what about Bahrain? also of course the terrible stuff in Japan - and one wonders how much we are in the throws of that global media - as I said I suddenly realised I have no idea what is going on.

we had an early hostel guest and more, quick cleaning up, airing bedding etc, when we had those glorious warm days with the glimmer of spring to come; another pension-club birthday, even more extravagant as the previous, with 4 more people turning up.

There was the village meeting - lots of shouting in cross purpose - but in fact it seems, that the new mayor is doing what he promised,
and got all that extra company-registrations for the village.
We also had the theatre-visit for the ladies, the Women's Day village quiz - we came second this time, it was a bit long, but was ok with free wine and beer - crisis - what crisis...

Lois'll have her work cut when she's here in May, - we just don't know what to do with Gus, he can climb out the 2m high front gate - we'll have to tie him up. Cats only visit for breakfast - than disappear for most of the day - with random appearances around the other house.

As you see I am in a sort of impatient mood - must be the time of the year... In fact I wasn't in a blogging frame of mind, the lack of gusto must make it tedious for all concerned... thanks for the worried enquiries, all is well really... we had lovely meals and the usual hurried shop in Pécs, English lessons...

hopefully pictures are coming up soon
