another up

last Thursday was good - Alan's plumbing is back to normal or even better - though he's still taking the relevant meds and results to come out tomorrow, when we go to see the nice prostate doctor, who again speaks perfect English and is a very chearful chap.Hopefully the front crown problem gets solved, too, so it will be a long day in town including another nice meal, we've been in Korhely last Thursday, invited Timi, too. We'll fix the heart-appointment stuff the day after. We had a few sunny and optimistic days, keeping Alan hopefully away from the next virus - seems to be a bit vulnerable lately. Tons of vitamins and fishoil etc etc - even though I still think that our diet is variable and should contain all that, never mind. Getting a bit cooler and barer but still enough raspberries every second day to colour the morning porridge. I think I'll freeze figs, cannot possibly eat or give away any more. Alan did work a bit - even cementing, fixing the washing machine and stuff like that. I am in the midst of negotiations about stopping the hostel stuff next year, maybe just having returning guests that book by e-mail. Not only the nasty comment on Tripadvisor - which needs a response as the allegations are untrue as you all know, I don't know why these people took such a violent dislike to us, it is hurtful, even if this is the only negative opinion. But still, less work and less stress is good, besides, if we are well, we'll be away more, even in the summer. Going back to farm matters, the little visiting ram seems hopeless and frightened of the ewes, even if it was more courageous would probably need a ladder... the survivor gosling integrated with the parents and nearly as big, the runner ducks are one team of seven with 3 drakes, which might be a problem, and the 5 muscovy ducklings are as big as the adults, lots of duck-roast with red cabbages come xmas... Martin brought a tablet which was a good thing to play about for Alan while recuperating, he can listen to radio 4 and skype anywhere in wi-fi reach for example. Lovely!
