misc

First of all a late but very sincere and big thank you for Seth and Holly who suggested to Alan Hostelworld.com in July and then helped him to register.
May you bicycle to even more fascinating places, and do as much organic gardening as your hearts desire!!

That"s done, there is not a lot to report, we are tidying, Alan painted the small bathroom (blue) getting ready for some outer wall-warming solar thingie, I hope he will tell you more... I am enjoying Richard Dawkin"s The God Delusion, and the history of tractors in Ukrainian was also a good read.

No pictures - first the memory card in the olympus camera declared itself no-write, now the internal memory is doing the same, and the thing is not yet 2 years old, stupid modern technology - you get to like, even enjoy the thing, then it just goes pear shaped.
However, our internet seems to have speeded up, and there were no downs for the second day running.

The village xmas tree is decorated and lit, all 10+ meters of it, and Father Winter
aka Santa Clous, aka Mikulás duly arrived to Kiskassa today. Our revolutionary mayor
arranged free trip for the under-14 lot to see a performance of the famous Bobita puppet theater in Pecs, the 14 -16 ones are getting a free disco in the Culture house. They all get their prezzies, too, lucky things.

I opened the Telehouse as I promised to Szabi, but only twice a week, tuesday and friday, 4 - 6 pm, I was surprised by the numbers of people appearing considering I did not advetised the re-opening, though the rolled up blind and the light in the room could have been a giveaway. Eta néni chosen 6 very thick books, the rest were mainly teenagers more interesting to having a good chat with each other, than interneting, but that is alright. I was releaved that only one little one (under 10) turned up, and he was too busy to break cars in s pc-game to be of any trouble.

so life is quiet and pictureless, until further notice...
ps. Have you tried FreeRice? Look it up, they are giving away 20 grains now...

Nice to see you back. How was the holiday? You didn't write too much about it. We are off tomorrow, first to England and then to Canada. Have a lovely Christmas and New Year!
