re-settled in Hungary from Rochdale, Lancs, England, and into a little village, doing a bit of greenish farming hoping for a quiet life... but stuff just happens...

made it to 2017

We got together with all kidlings on the 28th Dec in a well located and comfy enough apartment in Kisfaludy utca. We had lovely time as per usual, though Drew left after a couple of days due to worry about his dad's health-scare. Walks, talks, eatings, drinkings. Only one session of playing games... All the xmas cake gone, good work. Now back to Kiskassa, with lots of time to worry about the world, about implosion of the shangrila liberal capitalism of Fukuyama without any critical voice I can hear, except my own cry to the dark nothingness... Well, one of my frustration over-boiled letter was published in the xmas issue of Népszava to my surprize, but I really need at least a weekly column to get all that anger and incomprehension about the total lack of any meaningful organised, conscious opposition to the next coming catastrophe. Just when all could be so wonderful... And I am so lucky having had such a fantastic life - I want at least the same for the coming generations - especially our own kids, but it looks so stressfully hopeless. Anyways, started Futurelearn Italian - basically, because I prefer Italian to other languages and it seems so much easier than Greek. Oh, we might have people in the other house from 1st March, which is good news for its maintenance. What other news? The hens are laying, like if spring was coming pronto, Bonzo is happy and had really big bones, as we are eating those sort of things from the freezer. Jenő is coming over to musicking with Alan. I managed to sit rapidly on my bum on a slippy path - how good that I put on it an extra 3 kilos, no harm done whatsoever. Got good books. However, my grip on reality is rapidly diminishing - Alan won 10 kopogós römi consecutive games. The only other explanations are a weird glitch in universal randomness, or some non-too-busy god decided to play corrupt kibitz against me... Alan got an old big and complicated olympos camera from Pete and we managed to link it up, so some of the photos, mostly the Budapest scenery are his.
