Boully beautified our disintegrating egyptian puff, and we had a nice time all in all.Other news: Erzsi's Zsuzsi and partner are moving back to the village in the bank-loan-problem-abandoned house, fixing it up as well as the bank repayments. So they are very busy with that. I'm glad that's all sorted. Geese been moved to the front again last week, one of them promptly took off for a village sightseeing, but heroic Alan with Pete managed to catch it and trim the wings without major injuries. We went to see Ripoff Raskolnikoff and Des-o-drom in Pécs and had some nice sitting about with drinks and nice meals. Boully was staying home knitting. We might go to Hollókő next week with Jutka's crowd for a couple of days, it is a good deal in this beautiful village in the Mátra in this posh looking wellness hotel. Our dog-posters were taken down (again).

we did go and get Pete at al and had a nice day as per usual in Budapest, having another go on the - now free for us oldies - water bus. Hippo is having new injectors, very expensively even if could be much more. We decided to enjoy winter at home again... which is Kiskassa, Europe, the Universe ('cause someone just asked where is our "home"... and this made me think...) to be short I just copy here a message I sent elsewhere this morning, plus photos of our poster sticking for the two dogs party - nothing much else happening opposition-wise around here... the festival as above, brill brass band of Pécs uni, and a high class world music act Boja, and lots of food made from things with wings... unfortunately we were allowed to taste only one of the 15 bogrács cooked by the cheerful locals. Tomorrow it is free concert in Pécs - Ripof Raskolnikov. ====== demagogues are defined by building their lies and immoralities on a grain of truth: the situation -is- sad. Though statistically still not more significant than other mass-shooting due to deranged people in general, there -is- something missing from the claimed appeal of "western a(e/in)ffluence". Poor socialisation+poor education+stress(from being blamed for not being enough rich/beautiful/positive/enterpreneurial/clever/etc/etc) omnipresence of senseless violence in entertainment/media omnipresence of unequality/poverty/mysery... it is the time of easy solutions. it is the time of fascism filling the vacuum - the absence of even the search for democratic/human trusting alternatives. As per usual. on a positive note: our anti-gov posters stayed on now for two days! back again

this time from the tour of Finland and Norway with Lois. Let the pictures tell the story. There's tons more, but I understand people not wanting to see all ofthem... You are missing out on nice meals accompanied by Lois at cafes and restaurants. very nice fish and reindeer... Meanwhile all is well, raspberries, figs still going strong plus incredible amount of grapes, made loads of juice. Paprikas and sweetcorns did quite well considering absences. Kids found a hurt hawk, was transported to sanctuary, will be nurtured back to health hopefully.Staying put for a while, hippo needs attention, Pete and Boully are arriving next week.
