re-settled in Hungary from Rochdale, Lancs, England, and into a little village, doing a bit of greenish farming hoping for a quiet life... but stuff just happens...

there and back

yes, it was much better than apprehensive expectations. We couldn't have had a better time. We enjoyed all 4 Olympic events we had a chance to see, getting there was smooth, the atmosphere friendly. At the touristy places - such as the new cable car! - there were manageable queues - about 15min. It was of course, lovely to spend some time with Szonya and Drew, had nice pub and eating times. (the fish-n- chips in the Mayflower pub on the Thames!). But there were tons more - bit off-thread of the blog... we are back, and had a few days to overcome the idiosyncrasies of wwoofer management of the place. There were more silly heat 40C which was good to skip, but it means that the drought continues. Animals are in one piece except for the disappearance of a medium cluster duck - must have been a hawk, probably would have happened anyway. now temperatures are manageable - quite cool at night and 30cs during the day. there are cucumbers, tomatoes, aubergines, kohlrabis etc to process, care-taker wwoofers gone, new ones to come in a few days as well as yes!! Martin. just a few trip pics.
